Earn your associate degree through hands-on learning from instructors who have worked in the field

Associate in Applied Science
in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology

OSU Institute of Technology offers the only Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (ACR) degree in Oklahoma. Students enrolled in the ACR program learn and develop their mechanical and electrical skills used to install, repair and maintain air conditioning units and associated components. Become an expert in refrigeration equipment such as electrical meters, refrigerant recovery units, manometers, air flow meters and temperature recorders.

A vital component of the ACR program is the required internship all students must complete. Students apply their advanced skills and knowledge in a real-world setting and face challenges they will encounter in the workplace. Interning at small and large companies with diverse clients and settings allows students to experience the spectrum of the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

After earning an Associate in Applied Science in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology, graduates can start their career in their hometown or across the globe working with service contractors, industrial plants, residential areas, hospitals, motels, telecommunications companies, or become self-employed.
