Earn your associate degree through hands-on learning from instructors who have worked in the field
OSU Institute of Technology offers the only Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (ACR) degree in Oklahoma. Students enrolled in the ACR program learn and develop the mechanical and electrical skills needed to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems with a variety of electro-mechanical and electronic control platforms. Become an expert with service tools such as pressure gauges, electrical meters, refrigerant recovery units, manometers, air flow meters, and temperature recorders.
A vital component of the ACR program is the required internship all students must complete. Students will apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting, facing challenges alongside technicians in the field. Interning at small and large firms with diverse clientele and work environments allows students to experience the spectrum of the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
