Admission Requirements
At OSU Institute of Technology, we take pride in our diverse student body. Whether you are a high school senior, a current college student, or a working adult, we welcome you to join our engaging learning community.
To qualify for admission to OSUIT, prospective students must complete the following 15 units of high school coursework before enrollment:
- Four units of English
- Three units of Mathematics
- Three units of Laboratory Science
- Three units of History and Citizenship Skills
- Two additional units of foreign language, computer science, or courses that fit into one of the above categories
However, in addition to the general requirements, OSUIT has specific admission criteria for different types of students including first-time college students, transfer students, or special admissions such as international students.
First-time College Students Admissions
Both recent high school graduates and non-high school graduates are eligible for admission as first-time college students. You may submit your application with your ACT/SAT scores, high school transcripts, and other required documents for consideration. ACT/SAT scores are optional, we are requesting them to be submitted; however, they are not required.

Transfer Admissions
If you have recently attended a college or university and earned more than six credit hours of college work, you are welcome to apply to OSUIT as a transfer student. Depending on the number of college credits completed, you may need to submit different materials with your application.

International Admissions
OSUIT is a fully accredited university that welcomes students from all over the world. Prospective international students need to demonstrate their successful completion of high school education and English proficiency with a TOEFL internet-based score of at least 61 or an IELTS score of at least 5.5.

Concurrent Student Enrollment
OSUIT also admits high school juniors and seniors for concurrent enrollment, where the students are able to receive college credits while maintaining enrollment in high school. Find out if you meet the requirements for concurrent enrollment.

Application & Enrollment Deadlines
While there are no official deadlines for admission, we encourage students to submit their applications and required documents a few months prior to the start date of the trimester in which they intend to enroll. OSUIT is on a year-round trimester system that consists of three full terms each year and one summer interim term.

How to Apply to OSUIT
The admission process at OSUIT is straightforward. If you meet our admissions criteria, you may start your application online or submit a paper application to the Office of Admissions & Records.
After completing the application for admission, depending on your student type, you need to submit all your documents, such as official transcripts and ACT/SAT scores, to the admissions office so that we can holistically review your application and qualifications. ACT/SAT scores are optional, we are requesting them to be submitted; however, they are not required.

Tuition and Financial Aid
Named the Top Affordable School in Oklahoma, OSUIT is dedicated to making our quality education accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. The tuition at OSUIT is about half the in-state tuition for most state universities. At only $6,703 per trimester, our affordable estimated cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room and board, textbooks, and supplies.

Admitted Students - Enrollment
The enrollment process for all new students starts with the Admissions Office. After you are admitted to OSUIT, your academic advisor from your department will work with you and outline a plan of study to identify course requirements for enrollment.
Continuing students are urged to review their academic progress each semester with an advisor from their department.

Late Enrollment
All students are encouraged to enroll prior to the start of the semester. Late enrollment begins on the first day of school and will be allowed only during the first three days of the semester. A late fee will be assessed for those students enrolling during the first three days of the semester.
