Mary Miller

After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Art in Commercial Art from OU in 1985 and freelancing as an illustrator for a short time, Mary Miller decided to enroll in OSUIT’s graphic design program due to its excellent reputation. She credits OSUIT with launching her career as a graphic designer. She has designed logos, brochures, print ads, stationery, food labels, signage, trade show graphics, t-shirts, gift books, party supplies, festival banners and jockey silks for clients in the real estate, medical, telecommunications, home healthcare, firearm shooting range, ATV recreation, horse racing, restaurant and catering, non-profit, and gift book industries.

When recruiting students and giving tours for the AAS in Graphic Design, she tells perspective students that she learned more about the real-world, graphic design industry in one semester at OSUIT’s she did the entire four years in OU’s Graphic Design program. Research universities have their strengths and purposes for certain degree programs, but the most industry-related, most cost-effective program— and the fastest track to the visual communications industry with a portfolio that will launch your career—is OSUIT’s graphic design degree. And that’s why Miller has devoted over 21 years of her life to sharing her passion for graphic design, typography, branding, and OSUIT with thousands of like-minded students.
