The Bachelor of Technology in Information Technologies - Network Infrastructure option prepares students for the highly specialized work of designing, implementing and managing network infrastructure, operations and services.
From local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), to intranets, these networks range from small connections between two offices to next-generation networking capabilities such as a cloud infrastructure that serves multiple customers. Our classes incorporate the current technology, software and tools used in the industry, providing our graduates with the skills and experience needed for successful careers as computer network administrators and architects.
Employment of network and computer systems administrators and architects is projected to grow 8-9 percent from 2014 to 2024. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the demand for computer network architects will increase as firms continue to expand their information technology (IT) networks. Designing and building these new networks, as well as upgrading existing ones, will create opportunities for computer network architects.
