In addition to textbooks and other miscellaneous supplies required in individual courses, students pursuing an Information Technologies degree will also need the following.

Courses offered by the School of Creative & Information Technologies do not require students to own their own computers. However, many students find owning a personal or laptop computer to be advantageous from the standpoints of convenience and time management.

Students in the School of Creative & Information Technologies utilize a variety of software packages throughout their coursework, and have access to several software packages through two different sources:
- OSU’s Software Distribution Center
- OSUIT School of Creative & Information Technologies' Microsoft Imagine Agreement (formerly known as MSDNAA & DreamSpark)
Through MS Imagine, students can receive the most recent Microsoft development tools, operating systems, server software, documentation and technical references without charge. For eligibility, the student must be enrolled in an IT program.
To request access to the School of Creative & Information Technologies' MS Imagine site, please contact our MS Imagine Administrator at MSImagine@okstate.edu. You must use your OSU OrangeMail email and list your username (O-Key shortname) and currently enrolled courses.
