Associate in Science
in Allied Health Sciences

The Associate in Science in Allied Health Sciences will prepare students with the basics for healthcare specialties which have a high demand for skilled technicians. Statistics from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (EOSC) lists the Allied Health Sciences fields as among the top 30 fastest growing occupations in Oklahoma through 2018.

Graduates who earn an Associate in Science in Allied Health Sciences from OSU Institute of Technology can seamlessly continue their education towards a bachelor’s degree that will allow them to pursue careers in a wide variety of fields such as:

  • Radiography
  • Sonography
  • Biology
  • Microbiology

After students earn their AS in Allied Health Sciences, they can transfer to four-year universities around the state to gain a baccalaureate degree. One of those colleges is The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Tulsa. OSUIT has worked with administrators at the university to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU will allow OSUIT to transfer their credits to OU and enroll in one of their many degree programs in the Allied Health Sciences fields.
