Child Care Center
The OSUIT Child Care Center is a 4 Star Facility serving OSUIT students, staff, faculty, and the Okmulgee community. Our mission is to provide high-quality care in a nurturing, play-centered environment where children are treated with dignity and encouraged to grow through hands-on learning.
Enrollment Information
New enrollments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis as space becomes available. OSUIT students, faculty, and staff receive priority. A waitlist is available, and early sign-up is recommended.
All families must complete a Child Care Financial Responsibility Agreement before beginning services.
Enrollment fees:
• $40 per child
• $60 per family
Weekly Rates
Full-time care (4 or more hours per day):
• Infants (6 weeks to 24 months): $205/week
• Children (25 months to 13 years): $190/week
Part-time care (less than 4 hours per day):
• All ages: $150/week
Drop-in care:
• $40 per day (all ages, based on availability)
Before and after school care:
• $85 per week (up to 1.5 hours before and after school)
Important Policies
Late Pick-Up Fees:
• $5 for the first 10 minutes after 5:30 p.m.
• $1 per minute after that
Fees must be paid before the child can return.
Returned Checks:
• $25 fee
• Cash or money order may be required for future payments
Vacation Days:
Self-pay families qualify for 10 vacation days per child after four months of full-time
attendance. Days expire annually and do not roll over.
Absences:
Please call the Child Care Center by 9:00 a.m. if your child will be absent.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
• Children must be signed in and out by a responsible adult.
• Only individuals listed on the child’s enrollment card with a valid photo ID may
pick up the child.
• Written permission is required for someone not listed on the card to pick up your
child.
Health & Safety
Daily Health Checks:
Children are checked each morning for symptoms of illness. Any child showing signs
of sickness during the day will be isolated, and parents will be contacted for immediate
pick-up. Children may not return until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours.
Medication:
Medications can only be given with written authorization from a parent or guardian.
All medications must be labeled with the child’s name and dosage.
Emergency Procedures:
In the event of a serious illness or injury, children will be transported to the Muscogee
Creek Nation Medical Center. Parents or emergency contacts will be notified immediately,
and an OSUIT staff member will stay with the child until a guardian arrives.
Holiday Closures
The Child Care Center is closed on:
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), and December 24 through New Year’s
Day.
