OSUIT Student Government Association strives to serve the students of Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology. It is our goal to make your voice heard on this campus as a liaison between students, faculty, staff, and the Board of Regents. Our goal is to implement changes to support and improve our campus, community, and students’ quality of life.
SGA hosts events for students each year like the Focus Group and Town Hall (fall and spring), and sponsors activities with Student Life such as Grocery Bingo, Springfest, Sumer Bash, Moonlight Breakfast, and prizes for contests and giveaways. Civic engagement is another cornerstone of SGA and each year we participate in National Voter Registration Day and the Oklahoma SGA Fall and Spring Congress. We also hold general meetings, on campus and open to all students, with the SGA officers and advisor throughout each term (usually twice a month on Monday at 5:30 p.m., but subject to change; Zoom connection available for online and commuter students). We encourage all students to seek involvement in SGA through one of our many student clubs and organizations, or by attending one of our general meetings.
Any student interested in supporting and improving our campus, community, and students’ quality of life should be a part of SGA! The officers of SGA are a direct link to the student body, who they serve by hosting general meetings, yearly events, and special events and activities with Student Life. Each fall and spring term SGA sponsors a trip to Oklahoma City for the officers to attend the OSGA Fall/Spring Congress, where they have an opportunity to meet and network with student governments from area colleges and create proposals to submit to the Board of Regents. The OSGA Fall and Spring Congress are a great time to advocate for students and create meaningful change!
All officer positions are currently open. If you are interested in becoming an officer for SGA, contact Audrie Brennan, SGA Advisor.
