• Learning Outcomes

  OSUIT’s Nursing Program equips you with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience to become a confident, licensed RN. You’ll learn to:

  • Coordinate care based on respect for the patients’ preferences, values, and needs.
  • Perform competently within own scope of practice as a member of the health care team.
  • Integrate current evidence with clinical expertise and the preferences and values of the patient/family for delivery of optimal health care.
  • Examine standardized practices that support safety and quality health care.
  • Utilize technology, including information management tools, to support safe processes of care.

  Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN and practice in Oklahoma and Nurse Licensure Compact states. The LPN to RN Transition track offers credit for prior experience and a faster path forward.

• Professional Licensure Disclosure

  The OSUIT Nursing Program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN). Graduates are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Licensure in Oklahoma is subject to all state and federal requirements. For details, visit oklahoma.gov/nursing.

  Oklahoma is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), allowing OSUIT graduates to seek a multistate license valid in all NLC states. Learn more and view participating states at ncsbn.org/nurse-licensure-compact.
