What is Pre-Education?

Pre-Education is the foundation for students who aspire to inspire. This program equips future educators with the essential coursework needed to excel in teaching careers across early childhood, elementary, special education, or even middle and high school subjects.

Why Pre-Education?

OSUIT’s Associate in Science in Pre-Education sets you on the path to becoming a teacher in Oklahoma or beyond. With courses designed to build a strong knowledge base in math, science, language arts, and behavioral sciences, you’ll be prepared to transfer seamlessly into a four-year education program. Gain the tools to make a difference in the classroom and your community. Students also engage in guided observations providing opportunities to learn from classroom environments.

Graduates of the Pre-Education program are well-prepared to pursue a bachelor's degree and obtain teacher certification. Future careers include:

  • Elementary School Teacher
  • Early Childhood Educator
