Federal Work Study Job Opportunities

Looking for a Job on Campus? Here’s how to get started with Federal Work-Study (FWS) opportunities at OSUIT!

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

Log in to your Banner account at my.okstate.edu to see if you qualify for Federal Work-Study.

Step 2: Not Eligible? Let’s Talk.

If your account shows you are not eligible for Federal Work-Study, don’t worry—there may be other options available.

Contact a Financial Aid Advisor at osuitfinancialaid@okstate.edu or call 918-293-4684 to discuss your situation.

Step 3: Find Available Positions

If you are eligible, look through the following list of open positions. You can also stop by offices around campus to ask if they are currently hiring.

Step 4: Request a Job Referral

Before you apply, you’ll need a Job Referral from the Financial Aid Office. Visit us in the Grady Clack Center or email osuitfinancialaid@okstate.edu from your OSUIT student email.

Be sure to include your full name and student ID number in the message.

Step 5: Complete Your Hiring Paperwork

Take your Job Referral to the department where you’d like to work (see Step 3). The department will complete and sign the middle section of the form. Return the signed Job Referral to the Financial Aid Office. If necessary, an appointment will be scheduled with HR for you to complete your new hire paper work.

You will need to have identification available for your appointment with HR:

  • A state-issued photo ID (driver’s license, school ID, or passport)
  • Your Social Security card (required for payroll processing)
