Earn your associate degree as a sponsored student with a job waiting upon graduation
OSUIT’s Komatsu Advanced Career Training Program trains students to diagnose, service and maintain Komatsu equipment using factory recommended procedures, special tools and service information. Komatsu has distributors around the world so a career with the construction and mining equipment manufacturer can take students anywhere.
Those selected to be in the two-year Komatsu program will spend half their time on campus for technical instruction on current products and equipment learning the latest diagnostic and service procedures. The rest of the time will be spent getting real-world training through paid internships at Komatsu distributors.
Those who graduate with an Associate in Applied Science who complete the Komatsu ACT Program are prepared to understand new systems and components and communicate technically making it easier to advance within the company.
OSUIT's Komatsu ACT program is accredited by the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Foundation. These post-secondary colleges have met the rigorous requirements of AED’s national standards for equipment technology programs. These Standards for Construction Equipment Technology have been developed and are updated by The AED Foundation’s Technical Training Committee with broad representation from industry distributors, technical schools, and manufacturers. The standards have truly been developed “by industry, for the industry” to meet specific industry needs.
