Terry Killman
Growing up in rural south-west Missouri, Terry Killman was always around farms and
farming equipment. After high school, he joined the US Navy, where he attended several
technical schools, such as basic engine/hydraulics schools and advanced diesel engine
inspection/electro-hydraulic control schools. After being stationed in several areas
around the United States and overseas, working on a vast array of equipment, Killman
spent his last four years in Naval Training Center Great Lakes as an instructor training
new sailor’s just starting their naval careers and learning that he enjoyed teaching.
After Killman retired from the Navy in 2004, he went to work in the beverage industry
as a repair technician, and later worked at Cesena Aircraft in Independence, Kansas,
on the Citation Mustang jet. In 2010, Killman went back to school and graduated from
Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Vocational – Technical Education in
2013 and a Master of Science in Career and Technical Education in 2015. After graduation
Killman worked for the State of Missouri until I being hired at OSUIT in May 2017.
