OSUIT’s Nursing Program provides students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed
to pursue a career as a registered nurse. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission
for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN),
this program prepares graduates to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination
(NCLEX) for registered nurses. With two tracks—Traditional and LPN to RN Transition—students
can tailor their education to fit their goals.
At OSUIT, students receive practical training, mentorship from experienced nursing
faculty, and access to state-of-the-art clinical facilities. Whether you’re starting
fresh or building on existing skills as an LPN, our program offers a clear pathway
to becoming a registered nurse, with eligibility to practice in Oklahoma and other
Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) states.
The program offers dedicated tracks for Traditional students and LPNs transitioning
to an RN role, with 16 credit hours of prior learning credit available for LPNs.
Scholarships
Financial aid and scholarships are available to help nursing students succeed without
financial stress.
State Licensure
Oklahoma is part of the Nurse Licensure Compact, allowing graduates to practice in
multiple states with one license.
