Why did you choose to attend OSUIT?

I served in the United States Navy for 7 years. When I got out I wanted to get a degree and work in the automotive industry. My husband and I moved to Oklahoma from Washington just to go to school since this area has some of the best technical schools in the country. OSUIT has a great track record with their students and some of the best faculty that really seem to care about their students.

What is your program and why did you choose it?

I'm in my second year of the Pro-Tech automotive program. The program really suits me because it doesn't focus on just one type or brand of vehicle. I chose this path not for the money but because it is something I truly find happiness in.

How can you Be True To You at OSUIT?

I always say "If you truly love what you are doing, then you will always be great at it." 

How will you Be the One They Call?

As much as I love the work I get to do, I know I will not be able to physically do this work forever and that is one day I hope to get the chance to teach others with the same passion for everything automotive.

What would you tell someone about OSUIT?

I've had several people ask me about the program I am in and I always tell them, go there and talk to the people who will be teaching you. They care about what they teach, and they won't let you fail if you have the drive.
