OSU Institute of Technology welcomes back Information Technologies graduate Rachel Cox to campus to introduce ONX, Inc. to current students and inform them about current job openings.
The free event is open to the campus and will take place Thursday, March 26, at 11:30 a.m. in the IT Building, Room 4. Sponsored by the student club Association of IT Professionals, a free lunch will be provided for all attendees.
Located in Tulsa, ONX, Inc. provides full management and technology support to small and medium-sized businesses. They support servers, desktops, networking equipment and everything in between.
“We’re excited to hold this event for our IT and Engineering students specifically,” said Meghan Emerson, IT Program Support Strategist. “ONX hires our students, so they look to us first when they have openings.”
The students will not only have a chance to learn more about ONX but will also be able to talk with Cox about how her degree from OSUIT has helped in her career.
“This is a great way for students to network with Cox, learn more about her and her job duties,” said Emerson. “The more contacts a student can have when it comes time to look for an internship and a job, the more adept they are going to be at finding a job.”
Knowing our IT program serves many online students, this event is open to students both on and off campus. All students on campus are invited to attend and a membership to AITP is not required.
“The more industry partners we can invite to campus, the better our job placement rates will be for our students. This leads to more people learning about OSUIT and everything we have to offer,” said Emerson. “Our students come here to get a better job that pays well, which starts with more brand awareness and company outreach.”
