OSU Institute of Technology has been awarded top ranking status by Intelligent.com. OSUIT ranked at No. 11 for Best Cyber Security Degree Program and No. 26 for Best Colleges in Oklahoma.
The OSUIT campus was recognized as Best for Technology programs, and the Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology with an option in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics program was recognized as Best for Returning Students.

OSUIT offered its first for-credit cybersecurity course in 2002. By 2004, the institution had implemented a baccalaureate pathway for those wanting to pursue rewarding careers in the rapidly expanding and evolving field, as well as assist the state, nation and employer partners with an emerging, critical workforce need.
The BT in IT with an option in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics prepares students for the highly specialized work of protecting computers, computer systems and networks from various threats such as hackers, cyberterrorists, viruses and worms. The classes incorporate the current technology, software and tools used in the industry, providing OSUIT graduates with the skills and experience they’ll need for successful careers.
Taught by industry experts, the online program prepares graduates to effectively protect computers, computer systems and networks from multiple threats, including hackers, cyberterrorists, worms and spyware. The curriculum further equips students to investigate a wide variety of cybercrimes and activities.
The campus was listed among thousands of public institutions in the nation, and the comprehensive research guide is based on an assessment of 2,277 accredited colleges and universities.
The 2021 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system, which includes student engagement, the potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations. Each program is evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment. Intelligent.com analyzed thousands of schools with comparable programs on a scale of 0 to 100, with OSUIT making it to the final list for two degree programs.
