Legos Come Alive at MAIP Robotics Camp

Every person who has ever played with LEGOS has dreamed of seeing their creations come to life. Youths ages nine to 12 will have the opportunity to make their dreams a reality this summer as they construct LEGO kits into functioning robots at OSU Institute of Technology’s MidAmerica Industrial Park branch in Pryor.

Two, three-day Level 1 LEGO robotics camps will be held June 25-27 and July 9-11 to introduce young people to applied technology and engineering concepts utilizing LEGO Mindstorm kits and programming software. A more advance Level 2 camp will be held July 29-31 challenging young people to create even more elaborate, functioning robots. Students must have previously completed a Level 1 camp before they can enroll in the Level 2 camp.

Using the custom Mindstorm kits, students will build and program a variety of automated devices applying common technology and engineering concepts. Students will then use their learned skills to compete in activities designed to challenge their new abilities.

Each camp costs $150 with lunches included. For more information or to reserve your seat in a camp, please email cassity.bixby@okstate.edu or call 918-825-4678.

OSUIT at MidAmerica Industrial Park is located at 4059 Redden St., Pryor, OK 74361.
