OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee is seeking nominations for its annual Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by OSUIT, recognizing alumni and former students for outstanding achievement in both civic duty and professional life.
“Alumni are really our biggest source of encouragement, loyalty and support. This Alumni Homecoming Reception and Hall of Fame induction is one way we can show how much we appreciate them,” said Dr. Bill R. Path, OSUIT president.
Each year the Alumni Relations honors outstanding alumni from OSUIT with two separate awards.
The ceremony recognizes Distinguished Alumni— those who are established in their professions and whose career accomplishments have been outstanding— and Rising Star Alumni— those who have made significant or outstanding accomplishments within the first 10 years of graduation.
“The event is a great time for everyone: the alumni being recognized, their families and friends, and as well as our industry partners and those of us from OSUIT,” Path said. “That continued connection between alumni and the university is such a benefit to both, and this event gives us the opportunity to acknowledge our alumni’s successes while giving them a chance to revisit and reminiscence about a time and place that was so formative to their lives and careers.”
The OSUIT Alumni Hall of Fame Reception is scheduled for this summer on the OSUIT campus with more details to be announced.
