About
Emergency Aid Funding is designed to support Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) students who need 15 or less credit hours to graduate. The program uses funds from within the institution and does not impact a recipient’s ability to qualify for other financial aid.
Funding awards are first-come, first-serve, with the goal of helping the greatest number of eligible applicants as possible. Funding applications are accepted throughout the semester. Awarded funds are applied to a student’s Bursar account to ensure they can enroll for the following term. Emergency Aid Funds may not cover a student's entire outstanding Bursar balance. Please see the FAQ section below for more information.
Referrals
All applicants should come from campus referrals. OSUIT faculty and staff who are familiar with students' academic progress are encouraged to direct eligible students to this website to complete the application.
Application
The application is short and completely online. Only actively enrolled OSUIT students are eligible to apply. Once the application is complete and has been submitted, the student will automatically receive a confirmation email. If a student is selected to receive Emergency Aid Funds, they will receive a fund offer letter that will require them to accept or decline the funds. Students are encouraged to regularly check their OKSTATE email for a response to their application. Responses are generally received within 10-14 business days of an application being submitted. Application acceptance is paused on the last day of class each semester.
