OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee is seeking nominations for its Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by OSUIT, recognizing alumni and former students for outstanding life achievements in society and professional life.
“Over 40,000 graduates have called OSUIT home while they were in college. The Alumni Homecoming dinner and Hall of Fame induction is one way we can show our graduates how much we appreciate them,” said Dr. Bill R. Path, OSUIT president. “We are looking for men and women who not only exhibit leadership, but also serve as mentor to those around them.”
Alumni Relations honors outstanding alumni from OSUIT with two separate awards.
The ceremony recognizes Distinguished Alumni— those who are established in their professions and whose career accomplishments have been outstanding— and Rising Star Alumni— those who have made significant or outstanding accomplishments within the first 10 years of graduation.
“This event dedicated to bringing our students back to campus for an evening of dinner and celebration to congratulate a group of alums who are doing some amazing work in their chosen fields,” Path said. “It is a great time for everyone: the alumni being recognized, their families and friends, and as well as our industry partners and those of us from OSUIT.”
The OSUIT Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony and dinner is scheduled for June 12, 2020, on the OSUIT campus with more details to be announced.
The deadline for nominations is Feb. 29, 2020, and can be made online at osuit.edu/nominate.
