  • Room change requests

You may submit this at any time, but they will not be reviewed until after the first two weeks of the semester.

The Residential Life office will review this for approval but this does not guarantee a move will be granted. Every effort will be made to accommodate your room change request and preference but it will be based on availability. When a room transfer is approved and you are assigned a new room you will receive a note in your current room. Once you pick up your new key you will have 4 days to complete your move unless otherwise notified. In order to properly complete your move the following must be done; have moved all your items out of your old room, have cleaned your old room thoroughly, have your old room checked by a Residential Life staff member, and turn over your old room key. If your move is not completed within 4 days, you will be required to pay for both rooms.

To access the room change request you will need to first log in to the Cowboy Housing Portal. Once you log in you will need to access the area that says Requests to Change Room.

  • Request to stay on campus during break

Before going any further be aware of the following. If you are a resident in the Grand Old Post Office (GOPO), or resident in Alexander Halls you do not need to apply to stay during a break. As a part of your housing contract you are allowed to stay on campus during any break closure as long as you plan to resume classes as soon as the break is completed.

If you are a traditional resident residing in Miller-Kamm, England, Hannigan, or Lackey Hall and you want to stay during a break you will need to complete the Request to Stay During the Break form.
