Military Appreciation

Military Appreciation

OSUIT's history is founded on training and preparing veterans for the civilian workforce, and the university maintains that commitment today. We want to showcase our military and veteran students so we will regularly feature one of of them in our Military Appreciation series.

Steve Dockray

Steve Dockray is a student in the Civil Engineering Technology program and served in the Army for 10 years. He said serving in the military has helped him to stay on task and better focus on his courses and training at OSUIT.

Lorena Wilkinson

Lorena Wilkinson, a nursing student, served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and followed in the footsteps of both her parents, who also served in the military. She chose OSUIT because the focus of the university is to give students the skill set they need to get a job, not just a diploma, when they graduate.
