Congratulations to OSUIT's 216th Graduating Class!
Summer Graduation will take place in Covelle Hall at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, OSUIT has modified our celebration of graduates to deliver an event that holds the same traditions of pomp and circumstance with your safety and well-being in mind.
Commencement exercises, including the Nursing pinning event, will be held as private functions only with no guests; Covelle Hall will be closed to the public, and only graduating students and the platform party will be permitted entry. All ceremonies, however, will be streamed live and on demand so that friends and family may be able to see their graduate crossing the stage and share in that moment.
Please also know that there will be changes to the staging and processionals to enforce social distancing, such as spaced seating, and the requirement of facial coverings. Other contactless options will be integrated into the overall experience.
The 10 a.m. ceremony will include graduates from the School of Arts, Sciences & Health;
the School of Creative & Information Technologies; and the School of Transportation
& Heavy Equipment. Candidates should report to Covelle Hall between 8:45 and 9:20
The 2 p.m. ceremony will include graduates from the School of Engineering & Construction Technologies. Candidates should report to Covelle Hall between 12:45 and 1:20 p.m.
The Nursing Pinning Ceremony that was postponed from spring is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, in Covelle Hall at 10 a.m.
