Counseling Services

Counseling services are free to students and includes personal and/or career counseling. Our counselor is available 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. To schedule a counseling appointment, you can email Kaitilin Rouk at kaitlin.rouk@okstate.edu or call 918-293-4988.

Cowboy Care Telehealth Services

OSUIT has partnered with Academic Live Care to provide medical and counseling services to students through Cowboy Care Telehealth. OSUIT students now have access to 24/7 on-demand telephonic counseling, and virtual visits for therapy, psychiatry, urgent medical care, and nutrition - all at no cost to the student. Qualifications for Use of Cowboy Care Telehealth Services

The following individuals are eligible to use Telehealth Services: 

  • Currently enrolled students carrying a minimum of 6 semester credit hours, their spouses and dependent minor children

Official Notice: Immunization Requirements for OSUIT Students

Oklahoma state law requires that all new students who attend Oklahoma colleges and universities for the first time provide proof of immunization for certain diseases. If you cannot verify your immunizations you will need to be re-immunized. Medical, religious and moral exemptions are allowed by law and such requests must be made in writing using the Certificate of Exemption form.

The requirement shall not apply to students enrolling in courses delivered via the Internet or distance learning in which the student is not required to attend class on campus. International students should contact the Office of International Student Services with questions regarding this notice.

Student Health Insurance Plan

Student Insurance is available to eligible students attending Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology.

How do I know if I am eligible for the Student Health Insurance?

UNDERGRADUATE/GRADUATE STUDENTS: All Domestic undergraduate and graduate students taking nine (9) or more credit hours (three (3) hours in summer) and domestic graduate students enrolled in their last semester are eligible to enroll in this insurance plan on a voluntary basis.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: All international students taking one (1) or more credit hours are required to purchase this insurance plan and the premium for coverage is added to their tuition billing.

The Student Mental Health Guide was created to show college students (and their friends and families) the various on-campus and online resources they can use should a mental health concern arise. The guide includes an in-depth look at the most common issues among college students, how to identify those issues, and, perhaps most importantly, when and how to get help. Key mental health and related concerns highlighted in the guidebook include:
