IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System)
IPEDS is a system of surveys that collects data from about 7,500 institutions that provide postsecondary education across the United States.

IPEDS Fall Enrollment Survey information including student-to-faculty ratio; percent by gender; percent by race/ethnicity; and first-time, full-time bachelor's degree seeking student retention rate. Please note: Due to a recent policy change, OSUIT requires students to obtain an associate degree prior to admission into the bachelor's programs. Therefore, the HLC Academy for Student Persistence and Completion Report (below) provides more accurate retention rates.

HLC Academy for Student Persisence and Completion Report 2020
- Common Data Set
The information contained in the OSUIT Common Data Set is collected from several institutional offices. The enrollment data are based on the preliminary data stored after the last day to drop courses with no grade record which is traditionally the end of the second week of classes. The tuition information is provided by the OSUIT Bursar’s Office , the financial aid data is provided by the OSUIT Financial Aid Office and the faculty information is provided by OSUIT Human Resources.

Please note that, to the extent possible, the data presented on presented in the institutional fact book represent snapshots taken at the same time of the academic year. In some instances, however, variations in reporting cycles have limited our ability to do so. For this reason, the reader who attempts to cross-reference certain data tables may find discrepancies which may not be due to inaccuracies in the data.
