Shari Erwin
Shari Erwin (@sharierwin) is a marketing technologist with a background in content
strategy. Prior to joining OSU Institute of Technology, she worked for the University
of Tulsa College of Law and was the web communications coordinator for the University
of Arkansas at Little Rock, supporting student recruitment efforts and image advertising
campaigns through storytelling and online community engagement.
Erwin spent more than a decade working in television and was first in the market in
developing a multi-platform news sharing strategy for KLRT/KASN in Little Rock. She
holds a master’s degree in Technical and Professional Writing where she occasionally
teaches writing as an adjunct. Erwin serves on the Okmulgee Main Street board and
is president-elect of the Oklahoma Colleges Public Relations Association.
Eric Covey
Eric Covey joined OSUIT in October 2013 and is the primary public relations contact
for the university. From the Greater Tulsa Area, Covey has achieved multiple higher
education degrees. He received an associate degree in journalism from Tulsa Community
College and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with emphasis on public relations
from Northeastern State University.
He was selected as one of The Tulsa 40 under 40 by the Tulsa Business Journal and
Tulsa World in 2016. He has also pursued leadership engagements by completing Leadership
Okmulgee in 2016 and Leadership Bixby in 2017.
On the OSUIT campus, Covey was chosen as the 2017 recipient of the Outstanding Classified
Staff Award and is the former Chair of the Faculty Staff Council Association.
Tate Delana
Tate Delana was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and grew up in the Okmulgee area. He graduated
from Tulsa Community College with an associate degree in Digital Media with an emphasis
in Graphic Design. He started his career as a graphic designer with the Muscogee (Creek)
Nation in 2011, where he worked for six years. He also serves on his church staff
as the graphic designer. Delana joined OSUIT as the graphic designer in September
2017.
Josh Gammon
Josh Gammon joined OSUIT in April 2020 as the digital strategist. Born and raised
in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area, he graduated from Rogers State University with a Bachelor
of Arts in Communications - Radio/Television with a minor in Graphic Design.Prior to joining OSUIT, Gammon spent several years working in digital content for
FOX23 News in Tulsa. There he helped establish the station’s digital team and developed
strategy used to propel the station’s online brand into a market leader. His team’s
work was honored with a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Website.He has experience in digital content creation/strategy, social media management, website
management, journalism, creative writing, audio production, video editing and graphic
design.
Lindsay Lynch
Lindsay Lynch joined OSUIT in December of 2018 as the publications coordinator/writer.
Prior to joining the university, she held the position of senior integrated marketing
specialist at GlobalHealth, a local health plan, where she managed many aspects of
marketing and communications including company branding, public relations, event promotion,
social media, website copy and creative updates, direct mail, print media, tv-media,
search engine marketing and email marketing.
She has also worked as an account executive for BlueView, a digital marketing agency
in Tulsa, managing upward of 20+ clients. Her prior experience also includes work
done within Rogers State University Public Relations in Claremore, Oklahoma as an
undergraduate, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications and
minor in Graphic Design.
Cindy Smith
Cindy Smith joined OSUIT in August of 2019 as the administrative assistant. A native
to Okmulgee, she previously held a position at Okmulgee Public Schools as the Johnson
O’Malley coordinator, for five years. Prior to her time in education, she spent 12
years in the gaming industry and worked for River Spirit Casino as the Human Resource
manager.
She holds an Associate in Science in Tribal Services from the College of the Muscogee
Nation, where she was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She is currently
attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University pursing her Bachelor’s in Liberal
and Applied Studies. She is a mother to three children, two of which will be OSUIT
alumni as of May 2020. She and her family, who is her motivation, pride and joy, live
in Okmulgee.
