Shari Erwin

Shari Erwin (@sharierwin) is a marketing technologist with a background in content strategy. Prior to joining OSU Institute of Technology, she worked for the University of Tulsa College of Law and was the web communications coordinator for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, supporting student recruitment efforts and image advertising campaigns through storytelling and online community engagement.

Erwin spent more than a decade working in television and was first in the market in developing a multi-platform news sharing strategy for KLRT/KASN in Little Rock. She holds a master’s degree in Technical and Professional Writing where she occasionally teaches writing as an adjunct. Erwin serves on the Okmulgee Main Street board and is president-elect of the Oklahoma Colleges Public Relations Association.

Eric Covey

Eric joined OSUIT in October 2013 and is the primary public relations contact for the university. From the Greater Tulsa Area, Eric has achieved multiple higher education degrees. He received an associate degree in Journalism from Tulsa Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with emphasis on Public Relations from Northeastern State University.

He was selected as one of The Tulsa 40 under 40 by the Tulsa Business Journal and Tulsa World in 2016. He has also pursued leadership engagements by completing Leadership Okmulgee in 2016 and Leadership Bixby in 2017.

On the OSUIT campus, Eric was chosen as the 2017 recipient of the Outstanding Classified Staff Award and currently serves as Chair of the Faculty Staff Council Association.

Tate Delana

Tate Delana was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and grew up in the Okmulgee area. He graduated from Tulsa Community College with an associate degree in Digital Media with an emphasis in Graphic Design. He started his career as a graphic designer with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in 2011, where he worked  for six years. He also serves on his church staff as the graphic designer. Delana joined OSUIT as the graphic designer in September 2017.

Briana Johnson

Briana Johnson joined OSUIT in February 2017 as the web content strategist to oversee the website content management, website development and social media strategies. She is a digital marketer, analyst and strategist with 12 years of experience in corporate communications, business development, digital marketing, brand development, content marketing, social media marketing, inbound marketing, email marketing, crisis communications, graphic design, search engine optimization, vendor management and corporate training.

Before coming to OSUIT, Johnson worked as the content manager for Downunder Media, the marketing communications specialist for Greenleaf Nursery and a conceptual editor at Tate Publishing. Her prior experience also includes work done within the University of Oklahoma Student Media and University Printing, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in professional writing.

Lindsay Lynch

Publications Coordinator Publications Coordinator

Lindsay Lynch joined OSUIT in December of 2018 as the publications coordinator/writer. Prior to joining the university, she held the position of senior integrated marketing specialist at GlobalHealth, a local health plan, where she managed many aspects of marketing and communications including company branding, public relations, event promotion, social media, website copy and creative updates, direct mail, print media, tv-media, search engine marketing and email marketing.

She has also worked as an account executive for BlueView, a digital marketing agency in Tulsa, managing upward of 20+ clients. Her prior experience also includes work done within Rogers State University Public Relations in Claremore, Oklahoma as an undergraduate, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications and minor in Graphic Design.

Tyler Roberds

Photographer/Videographer Photographer/Videographer

Tyler Roberds joined OSUIT in October 2018, accepting the position of photographer and videographer for the Office of Marketing & Communications.

Born and raised in Okmulgee County, he has worked professionally in the field of digital media for more than 10 years. His previous experience includes graphic designer, photographer, media director and multimedia instructor. Working in newspaper, radio, television and motion picture, Roberds has a passion for telling stories through a wide variety of digital mediums. During the span of his career, he has had the privilege of capturing touring artists, political leaders and hundreds of events in the Okmulgee Area.

Invested in the growth and development of the arts in Okmulgee County, Roberds generously donates much of his free time serving on various art and design boards.
